I'm riding my '87 Savage at 4,300 ft. (1 290 m.) altitude. With the stock setup and given the thinner air, don't get backfires and blue'd pipes. Performs okay with the stock setup. Thinking about opting for the Supertrapp, will run a little leaner but will see, before tinkering with the carb. At this altitude, the motor tops out at 75 mph (120 kph). Could use a little opening up on the top end. Otherwise am pleased the way it rides.
